I recently stopped taking birth control pills, and now my period is late and instead I have thick, sticky discharge. I'm a virgin, so I know it's not late because i'm pregnant. Can anyone help?

Sometimes, going off the pill will screw up your cycle for a while. Not sure how long, adn i'm actually experiencing the same thing right now. If you get too worried about it, your doctor can give you some hormones to start your period back up.

Were you on birth control for acne or something? How come you came off of it? A better idea than getting hormones from your doctor would be to go get some vitamins. A good thing to try is vitex. It's a herb called chasteberry tree that helps your hormones get regulated. When coming off birth control your hormones have to retrain themselves again. It's very common to miss periods or have irregular cycles. I came off bcp 8 months ago and my periods still aren't back to normal. I started taking vitex so i'm hoping it will help.

Well I had 2 cycles right after bcp that was right back to my normal cycles prior to bcp which was 35 days. Then they started becoming longer and longer. But you never know. Just wait until you start getting preg symtoms. Then maybe test.
