Q: Should I Be Concerned?

I am just wondering if any ladies can help me out.. I have been getting a painful burning in my lower back that after 30 mins or so moves into what feels like both my ovaries..It almost feels like really bad menstrual cramps, only it is not, and it sometimes sends a sharp pain in my ovaries.. All within a few hours I start to get bloated and sometimes gasy after all this back and pelvic pain..Sometimes I even feel a "pull" and slight pain when I urinate. The symptoms arent constant, but I do feel them more frequently now..I also usually feel a bit of nausia as well....I was wondering if it is something I should be concerned about..?? Any ideas? :?:

I have had a ovairan cyst rupture last week, and your symptoms sound like you may have one as well. I think you need to get an appointment and see your doctor and tell them about this, it is very dangerous and can cause serious problems. The pain from a rupture can last up to two weeks. I was rushed to the hospital three times last week because of mine, and ended up having to have a catheter put in, because it ended up shutting down my bladder from the fluid.

Please go to your doctor this is serious, it can start as young as you start your period. So no age is to young to have cyst, and if you are stressed this is double the risk of getting a cyst. Thats why mine ruptured, they may need to do an ultrasound to see if you have one.

But I seriously think you may have a cyst or ruptured cyst.

Keep me posted good luck and I hope you get to feeling better.

I had gone to the docs and she did a pelvic exam...When she pushed on my right ovary, I felt a bit of pain so she scheduled me 4 an ultrasound.. I am expecting to get the results 2morrow....The lady who did my ultrasound couldnt tell me what she saw, but she did stay on my right ovary for quite sometime, as well as listening to the bloodflow on that side...She briefly took some pics of my left..... Dunno, I guess I will see 2morrow...

Yeah the same here the ultrasound tech didnt tell me anything but my bladder was full. They can't say anything, and she was taking lots of pics of my right ovary where my cyst ruptured.

Good luck and I hope you get to feeling better.

I just went to the doctor yesterday and my doctor told me that my ovary was enlarged. He scheduled an unltra sound but that's in 6 weeks. He thinks that once I start my new birth control pill that it all should work itself out but I am still in a lot of pain. I have not taken any birth control in at least 3 months. I am just concerned. Should I call my doctor and ask for any earlier appointment?

Ovarian Cyst
how big was your cyst? I have one in my right side and Dr. wants to remove.
