Switching/staring B/c And Not Getting a Period Posted: 05-07-06 16:18pm
Ok, I read in the stickies that periods
can be delayed because of switching or
starting new b/c. My g/f recently
switched and started a new b/c pill. She
went from seasonale to levora. She
started it about a month ago and she's on
the inactive pills (which means she should
get her period). What causes this delay
or miss of a period because of starting
and/or switching b/c? I'm kinda
confused, will this 'doubly wammy'
so-to-say.. Cause her to miss her period
or delay it. She's only late by 2-3
days.
Edit: I forgot to mention that it was
probably a good month between her stopping
seasonale and starting levora.

If she still hasn't gotten her period in a
few days, i'd take a home pregnancy test.
It could be that the change between bc
pills has caused her period's cycle change
to change. However, when you said it's
been a good month between her stopping
.Seasonale and .Levora, were you two
having unprotected sex during that time?
If you were, there's a chance she could be
pregnant then... Either way, she should
take a test. Good luck.

That month was protected, and even the
week she started we didnt have sex. Just
so the b/c could get 5-7 days to kick in.

Oh, that's good! If she's been taking her
bc pills every day, she's probably not
pregnant. She can take a test to ease
her mind (and yours) if she wants, though.
