I have been using natur-elle plus cream for a year now and I am still getting some hot flashes. I am 59 and came off of hrt a year ago. I am otherwise very healthy and active and slim.
I am using about 1/4 tsp. Divided daily. I take one week off per month. Is that how I should be using it now or should I be using it continually without a break each month? Am I using enouth?

my doctor told me not to ever stop taking the natural progesterone. I use progest -- I have the premeasured tubes and use 2 a day; 365 days a year. Hot flashes stopped within 48 hours of starting the progest. Have been on it for 2 years now.

Natural Menopause Options
I use natural progesterone too and it did stop my hot flashes but I also had to experiment with how long to use it. I have to use less than it says to use. But i'm not menopausal yet. I still have periods though they have gotten further and further apart.

I pay attention to my body and how it feels.

Re: Using Natural Progesterone Cream
I have used natural progesterone cream off and on for about 4 years. I tend to not go by the instructions or what my doctor has recently told me, because I can tell by how i'm feeling whether to use more or less. It has not helped me at all with hot flashes, but has helped with many other symptoms. I recently ran across this information which anyone using this cream should know about Mercola.Com/article/progesterone/cream.Htm

Hi,

i've used the natural progesterone cream for many years but in the last year my menopausal symptoms had become much worse. I'm 55 years old and my periods have stopped so I did some research and I had many symptoms of low estrogen. I've started to use a natural estriol cream and it stopped the hot flashes/night sweats almost immediately. I also have heart palpitations and they have stopped almost completely. I don't know if i'll continue with this cream long term but will take it as long as it helps with the symptoms.
