Q: Sex And Depression - a Lack There Of.

I've been dating a bipolar for four months and for the last month and a half he has been in a depression. There is a lack of intimacy that has perhaps gotten to the point of no return.

Is lack of a sex drive commonplace for a bipolar in the depressive phase? How should I approach him with the topic?

People who are depressed lose interest in alot of things. It's part of the condition. Is he taking meds? If he is and he's not feeling any better then he may need to see his doctor and get a med adjustment.
