Q: Oral Contraceptive Induced Severe Headache

symptoms: continous dull headache accompanied by a throbbing sensation and a sharp pain at random intervals (once every 10 -20 minutes) pain located in upper part of the back of the head. Scalp covering the region of pain is sensitive to touch and painful. No abnormalities seen in ct scan
duration: past 4 months started in mid feb headache has been increasing in severity since then
previous history on ocp(triquillar) for three months starting december discontinued in feb after headache became severe.

note:consulting a neurologist for past 1.5 months without any conclusive diagnosis. Any help will be appreciated.

Can you try just using condoms?

Get off birth control. Use condoms. That's what i'm going to do. Ever since i've been on birth control, my headaches have worsened, I feel sick all the time. After I stopped it, about a month or two, it quit.

Actually, the "medication" I was referring to in my post on the other thread was....Birth control.

And I should have known better than to ask my doctor for some. My sister had eye and head problems when she took it, too. :-/ but she got kaleidoscope vision in both eyes. Mine is just foggy vision in one (if, in fact, that is what's causing the problem).

But we both experienced the same eye pain and migraines.

I threw out the b.C.
