I have just recently started taking ortho tricyclen lo and am only on my 6 pill but for the past week that I have been takin it I have become extremly moody I will go from being normal a.K.A happy to being very angry to being extremly sad over something someones said and ive completely just taken it the wrong way...Usually I dont take everything so seriously and its ruining mine and my boyfriends relationship b/c ive turned into this girl that im not and I continue to act like somethings wrong when nothing is and he takes it as being his fault... Me and my boyfriend are not even having sex yet and im just on the pill b/c my parents want me to b ready 4 when we do and I also want my acne to clear ...But is there any other forms of birth control that will clear up or control my acne and prepare me for sex and not make me like this?

Thnx xox

A lot of women notice mood swings their first month on birth cotnrol, so it is normal.

But nuva ring is known to have fewer mood side effects and many types of birth control help with acne.

It is not a pill, but it is birth control!

You see nuva ring is a way to get the lowst amount of hormones in your body, pills contain higher amounts of hormones, thgus many women notice more side effects from pills than nuva ring.

Low dose pills include, alesse, mircette, ortho tri cyclen lo....

I can relate to you 100%. I've never been as moody and health forum as I am now, but it's simply the joys of being on birth control.

Because all forms of birth control have the same hormones in them... They will all cause you to go a little crazy. There are lo doses out there though that may help you. I think alesse is a lower dosage than ortho tricyclen lo... I'm using alesse and my mood swings are bad, but they're manageable... Just ask your doctor, thats the best way to go; she/he knows best...

Other than that... I don't really know of any other forms...

Good luck

p.S alesse has also cleared up my acne

Lutera And Ring Effects
I just started on lutera--i am also moody and I have been
bleeding like i'm having a period--tho not so heavy.
I think that there are lower doses of the pill than this
but only found out about that after I started on lutera.
As far as the ring goes, my friend is a nurse. One of
her patients has been using the ring faithfully, but
found out she was pregnant. This pregnant user of
the ring was very angry that her efforts to avoid
pregnancy failed. I can't help but think that the best
contraceptive is a condom that has nonoxynol9 on it
which needs to be applied in a little bit of light so
you can check that it is really on the man. The added
bonus to the condom is that you are also preventing
diseases like aids from infecting you. You may
think your boyfriend is free from stds, but you
really never know unless he promises to take
a thorough exam and tests. I know from experience.
This may all seem like a pain, but even the most
innocent looking guy can carry disease. You may
not think so now, but you really are worth taking
care of properly and that means you are worthy of
protecting against diseases. You can have sex if
you feel you are ready for it, just be smart about it.
