Implantation Question
Posted: 05-06-06 01:15am

Hi,

i've searched all over the web since i'm aware that there are many q and a's regarding implantation bleeding but have been unable to find any answers regarding my own issue at the moment so thought i'd post here.

I started spotting on day 23 of my cycle and don't begin my period until day 30 (i'm pretty regular and never more than a day or too off). It is now day 30, I haven't started my period and i'm still spotting! So in total i've been spotting for seven days...It's really sparse (all I need is a light panty liner) and the first day I had a pinkish discharge followed by (and remaining) brown spotting. Absolutely no red blood-just brown. What could this possibly be??? I'm not on the pill and i'm always really regular so i'm totally confused. Does implantation bleeding possibly last this long? I always thought it couldn't last for more than a couple of days...

As for symptoms my breasts are sore like they are before my period and i've been really tired lately but that's about it.

Any replies would be reeaally appreciated!

: implantation happens when the fertilized egg (now called a blastocyst) has completed its travel through the fallopian tube and attaches to the lining of the uterus. The blastocyst is a cluster of tiny cells, smaller than the head of a pin.
Implantation happens on average nine days (6-12 days) after ovulation and fertilization.
Most women have no symptoms on the day of implantation but some report a couple of drops of blood, which can be either red or brown or they have mild cramps. This is also called 'implantation bleeding or cramping.'
that bleeding is usually no more than a couple of drops. If it's like a period, then it's unlikely implantation bleeding.
But most women who become pregnant do not experience typical implantation bleeding, and many women who are not pregnant experience some spotting.

Same Thing...is It Implantation Bleeding?
Posted: 05-10-06 15:24pm

I've noticed the same thing with me. My period was due today (may 10th),but I usually start in the morning, and it's always red-colored. Yet today i've only noticed spotting on and off that's brown in color and very light. Is this implantation bleeding? I would go buy a hpt, but I can't get to the store today. So any advice is much appreciated, esp if it isn't this and then I won't have to waste $ on a test. Thanks a bunch!
