Hi
i am having crohn's and taking asacol 2*3 per day

doctor said on scale of 1-10 I am like 4

how much was yours when diagonised. He said its not very bad.
Do you think after the 3 month treatment I will go in remission for long time.

What was your experience.

Will this be lifelong. I am very scared and angry right now. I don't want to have such a life. I have a baby and I am not able to take proper care of her.

Is there anyone you know that after first treatment didn't have any flare-ups for years.

Thank you

Hey there,
myself I was never as lucky as to have long bouts of remission, but I was diagnosed very young, and had a very bad case. But please do not fret, you can go into remission with proper care and healthy diet, and I know of many cases that have had one flare up, and have felt well there after. I understand the anger, but try to think positive the mind is a powerful tool.....I wish you the best of luck, and feel free to email me if you need to talk.....Mystic

You're Not Alone...
Hey. I myself was just diagnosed with chron's disease yesterday. Where 1=urgent and 5=not urgent, i'm a 2. I get your anger and frustration, i'm 17 years old and have had to put my life on hold. I had to temporarily drop out of school so I won't be graduating with my friends, and am now behind on my education. Also, I had to go on sick leave from work, with bills and rent to pay(i live on my own). It took them 9 months to diagnose me, and I also have a hiatal hernia. My being constantly in pain and irritable put strain on my nearly 2 year serious relationship with my boyfriend, and we've broken up, with the possibility of an eventual reunion. I'm glad i'm finally diagnosed, but at the same time I feel alone and frustrated. I can't do anything and spend 6/7 days isolated. But once you hit bottom, you can only go up, right? So hang in there and if you want to add me, my e-mail/msn is clumsy_every1sajunkie@hotmail.Com. Take care Smile
