Q: 17 Years Old Can Get An Erection

Ok as embarrassing as this sounds this was the best place for me to try. I am 17 years old and I have been going out with my girlfriend for 3 months now. We have messed around and things have been great. I am a virgin but she is not. Last week we talked about it and decided to try and have sex. We were messing around I got an erection fine but when we went upstairs to my room to go have sex, between that time period I got soft again and I couldn't get it up. Now, its starting to effect everything. Even if she plays with it and stuff I can't help but worry about it and in turn I can't get an erection.
I have self diagnosed it as just nerves and me worrying about sexual performance since she is experienced and I am not at sex, but at the same time I can't just tell myself "hey, don't worry about it" because I worry about it all the time now.

Please advise. Thank you

It's really just a matter of relaxation. I hope she really cares about you and is willing to help sort things out... Once you feel secure and understand she's not judging you, and understand she's not gonna feck off any time soon, it'll be a weight off your shoulders. You're right - it's all in your head, so I wouldnt worry about any physical problems. Best thing for you to try is to relax totally. Have a night in. Watch a film, whatever. Spend some time together. Get naked, get into bed, but dont jump into things. Take your time. Just lie about and talk and have a laugh and mess about and hopefully it'll make the nerves go away. But the longer you let these negative thoughts take hold of you, the harder you'll make things for yourself! Just chill out and take things at your pace.

Fortunately I ended up working out this problem. My girlfriend really helped me relax and she made me feel alot better for the previous time. It ended up being a pretty awesome night(it was my senior prom night too). I appreciate both of your responses.
