I recently had a growth removed from my neck that was diagnosed as kaposi's sarcoma. I'm 39 yrs old. I had hiv and cd4 count blood test and the results came back as negative for hiv and a normal cd4 count. My gp and dermatoligist both have no experience with this cancer, maybe with no cancer, and each of them is pointing to the other as to responsibility for next steps. The gp was able to set up an appointment at a skin clinic at sunnybrook in toronto which is suppose to be a top clinic, mid june, its now early may. What i'm worried about is since I also suffer from ibs(2 years) and hemorroids(3 months), and from reading online, this type of sarcoma may spread to lower intenstines. Is there anyone there that thinks that i'm going the right route going to a skin clinic, or should I go straight to an oncologist. I want to be tested as soon as possible to make sure that my stomach/hemorroid problems are not related to the cancer. Help! Anyone with similar situation? How was it handled?

I can relate...
Hi John. I constantly have lesions on my feet and hands. Some come and go and some have to be removed. I have seen an oncologist and have done all the intestine tests already. I suggest you do the same. Everything has been negative, and it's just something I have to live with.
