Q: Any Advice Would Be Appreciated!

Ok, my brother and his wife, very recently adopted a little girl from korea. She is the best thing for them! She is very sweet and we love her to death. About a week after filing the papers and bringing her back home, to america, the agency called them saying that they need to bring the little girl back saying that they gave them the wrong child! After further research done by my brother, they found out that kyonah, was sold at birth by her mother to some guy for about $5000 and since then she has bounced back and forth from foster home and orphanages. My brother and sister-in-law have the proof that they are her parents, can the agency make them bring kyo back? They are currently talking to a lawyer about it, but I want your opinions too! Thanks

That is seriously bull. If they were the ones to mess it up in the first place, they have no right to change it. Obviously they have healthy/happy living conditions for the little girl, and they should respect that. What ever happened the the child they were supposed to get? That is seriously rediculous. Im sure all will work out with the situation...But they should not have to go through this now..

Alright, theyll be in my prayers as well..

Love, mol

Wow
I really can't tell you anything being that I don't know about the laws. Please let me know what happens though! That's so horrible for both your bro and sis as well as the little girl!

Thank you! I am not sure where the other child is, but my bro said that since he filed the papers kyo was the child on all the ones they signed. The lawyer he talked to today, said don't worry, they have the law and the paper work on our side to prove it! Not to mention with the info my bro found, they have enough info to shut down this agency!! Laughing which means all those kids get a good home now!! Thanks again!

Wow!! That is great news, but how will they find homes for all of those kids so quickly if the agency is shutting down, and wont you have conflicts with the laws over there vs here. And didnt they have trouble bringing her back into the states so quickly? Sorry just a few questions!!

i know its wonderful! First, other agencies will take the kids, we won't have problems with the agency just the law and since we have proof of adoption they can't do anything and finally, they didn't bring kyo home that soon, they have been planning to bring her home for almost a year now! They just went and brought her home about 2 weeks ago!

Thanks, but we aren't giving this fight up, we have sooo much proof on our side and kyo doesn't want to leave, I know that isn't really legal proof, but still. I just hope this lawyer can help us! Thank you for your prayers jennifer!
