Did anyone go through their pregnancy as either a vegan or vegetarian? Is anyone raising their baby on a vegetarian or vegan diet? Also did anyone give birth without drugs???? Info on any of these would be greatly appreciated. : )

I'm no expert but I would think it would be better for the baby if you also ate meat during your pregnancy cause the baby needs a lot of different nutrients that not all veggies can give them.I don't know about delivering with no drugs,i've never had a kid. : )

i, personally wouldn't raise my baby vegan. To be a vegitarian is totally different than being a vegan. They can consume nothing dairy, so how's the baby going to celebrate it's 1st birthday?? With a tofu cake?? Lol

as far a delivering with no drugs, I refused all medical intervention, but accenpted oxygen. I didn't have an epidural or an .I.V and it was the best thing I could've ever gone through!!! To actually feel the living person come out of you is unlike anything i've ever experienced!! I would totally recommend it to everyone!!

I look at it like my great grand mother had babies on the kitchen table without the use of drugs...What makes me any better that I can have drugs. I didn't even sign the papers to receive an epidural or .Demoral...It was my way of forcing myself to go naturally!!

Good .Luck girl!!

Thanks. And hey there are some really good vegan cake recipes : ) I was a vegan for 6 months and at first it was really hard because I didn't know much about what to eat so I just ate like lettuce and apples for like every meal and that gets old fast. I don't know if I should start the kid off vegan and then when he's old enough to know if animal rights is actually something he cares about he decide to continue that or not. I totally get that he might not be sensitive to the subject like his mommy. I don't know what my baby is yet by the way so I always jump back and forth from calling it a him or a her. Because it feels wrong to call it an 'it'.

He will probs be sensitive to it if you raise him to be.
