So there is a possibility that I can still be pregnant after getting a negitive on a blood test the day I was supposed to get my period. What do you think the chances are?

Well, with pregnancy tests, you can get false negatives, but there is no such thing as a false positive (if its positive, 100% you are pregnant) soo, just because it says "negative", it may not be. But, just remember, it did not say "positive". Wait a couple days and take another test. Blood tests are the most accurate of all pregnancy tests...

Good luck

Dont Stress
Just take another test, if it comes up negative again put it out of your mind if you're stressing about it then that can make you be late or skip a period. Good luck Wink ~misty

Yes misty and blue are right. Blood tests are the most accurate test u can get.

Home preg tests are pretty accurate too, but still, there is a slight possibilty that will be wrong.

I always tell girls that take a home preg test every 3-4 days for the next two weeks so the error possiblity is way lower

Blood Test Can Be Nerve Wracking
It depends on the kind of blood test they give you. There's one that is the hcg blood test, which detects the same hormone hcg that the urine tests do. And there's the quantatative blood test which will give a number count of how far along you might be. These tests screwed me up since the darn doc kept prescribing the quantatative test, and I wasn't very far along, so my numbers were like 0-3. If they are 5 or higher for a quantatative test, it usually indicates you might be pregnant. Make sure they just give you the hcg test first to just determine whether or not you're even pg or else it will be frusterating. They were wrong with mine 3 times....

Good luck
