Hi all

i'm kay - 38 - from the uk.

Living with my partner, whose is very supportive of everything I do - I have an 11 year old son also.

I have spent most of my adult life struggling with depression and anxiety, but have - at last - been off meds for over 3 years now (not a pleasant experience) and worked hard to manage my depression through other methods since then.

I'd like to make contact with anyone, really :)

just hoping that I might be able to pass on some experience and advice, and a glimmer of hope to others.

hope to hear from anyone soon

kay

Hi kay
what have you tried? Something as simple as remembering to take efas everyday really helps me. :)

St John's Wort
I found st. John's wort to be effective at relieving minor depressive symptoms.

Healing angel,

i started st. John's wort capsules a few months ago, and it seems to be helping a bit, but I have some questions about it.

One of the possible side effects i've both read and heard is "an increased sensitivity to light". But I don't quite know what that means. That light will hurt my eyes, or much worse, make me more prone to ultraviolet light, and thus, skin cancer.

If anybody who knows would let me know i'd appreciate it. I've tried researching this and have asked a few places, but i've never been able to get an answer.

Light Sensitivity With St. John's Wort
I have not had any light sensitivity while taking st. John's wort. Perhaps you should just try it out for a day and see if you feel sensitive, i'm sure all people react differently.
