So I went to the doctor today and nothing has changed since last week.. so my doctor told me that if I don't go into labor before my next appointment (9th) which is a tuesday, she will induce me on thursday. Which is only 1 day after my due date. I love my doctor!! So me and my husband are pretty dmn sure his birthday is going to be the 11th of may. Only 9 days from now. I'm so excited.

Is there really .T.H.A.T much of a point to stripping membranes? I mean, I realize what they hope it will do, but i've heard from several people that it's just painful and doesn't do anything at all most of the time.

Lol, that sounds like me dani....I was expecting a lot of pain with the epidural and the anesthesiologist was wandering around doing his thing and the nurse was like, ok you can lay back. And I was like "did he do it already?"
samantha, I was induced 5 days after my .E.D.D I had to be at the hospital at 6am, but I woke up about 4 and started losing my mucous plug and my water began to leak and contractions started...So I think adriana was gonna come wheather I was induced or not. I guess normally when you are induced your labor goes quickly. Well mine did not. I got the stuff to induce me at 7am and adriana wasn't born until 11:52pm....And that was by c-section because they finally came to the conclusion she was too big. Good luck and I hope things go smoothly for ya

I'm not sure if she stripped my membranes again or not..I just figured she didn't because she didn't say anything. I imagine she would say something like she did last time. I don't think it would even work anyway, it didn't do a dmn thing last time.. I had a feeling that she was going to tell me that nothing changed though, so I wasn't too shocked. It already seems like he's going to be a stubborn one...Just like his father and me..Lol.

I am going to have to be to the hospital at 6 am on thursday if nothing happens before then. I worry that the same thing will happen to me, because i'm pretty sure my doctor thinks he's going to be a little porker. My aunt was induced and ended up having a c-section too, which was actually a good thing, because the cord was wrapped around my cousins neck two times. Now he's the most adorable almost three year old ever!

Are you excited, scared? Anxious maybe?

I honestly hope you don't get induced...They gave me pitocin to speed up labor and the contractions were so awful I was kicking my legs and grabbing the sides of the bed lol!!!!

Get an epidural as soon as they let you and I promise you won't feel a dang thing!!

Not sure if you've been getting checked for dilation or not, but you know how that hurts? When you have the epidural you can't even feel being checked...I didnt feel anything with my epidural, except I felt like I needed to take the biggest poo of my life.

I hope you don't swell either =(

i'm a bad advice-giver lol!

Actually d, I like your advice because it's more honest than most people. A lot of people make it look like it's going to be a walk in the dmn park or something. I am excited and scared..I can't wait to hold my baby boy, but I am not too good of friends with pain. Trust me girl, I am going to get an epidural as soon as possible. I think i'd die without it.

I can't wait to see the little piglet either mel. I keeping thinking about what he's going to look like. I know he's going to have some chubby little cheeks though, you can tell from the 4d ultrasounds!

i like to watch baby story on tlc when I can, and it cracks me up when the nurses tell the women "bear down like you're going poo." I know that's really the best way to describe it, but it sounds so ridiculous. Lol
