Smoking And Seizures
Hi there mad zappy I have epilepsy and smoke and there is no effect on my epilepsy or my meds . This is from a book on epilepsy this next bit okay can I smoke? Smoking has no effect on epilepsy, but if the individual must smoke then thought needs to be given to safety, for example, not smoking indoors alone or in bed ever. Again this is from a book will street drugs affect my epilepsy? Yes, they may, some street drugs can cause seizures, as alcohol can. The activities that accompany taking them, such as late nights and lack of sleep, can also make seizures more likely. If I can be of more help to you please get in contact with me.

Hey
Hi...
I'm talking based on experience here.
I was epileptic since oh say mid-Feb 1992 at the age of 6 - 8...I was using the meds prescribed by my doctor.
I started smoking after I stopped medication in 2002 age of 14 - 16....the cause of my "starting smoking" is mainly because of depression in some way......
I want to know if my smoking may cause a seizure of some sort?
