Q: Tmj Problem, a Real Solution

The tmj is directly related to the sacroiliac articulation (at the base of your spine, between the sacrum and ilium). If there is an instability in the sacroiliac joint, a series of muscular compensations will lead to tmj problems. The only professional who could help you would be an s.O.T. Chiropractor.

Hey
im sorry but i have to disagree with you. the problem is the atlas. only a chiropractor cannot help. you also need a neuromuscular dentist if this is indeed the problem. A tmj patient is like a puzzle. they need the puzzle peices to work together to complete the puzzle. you need several docs working together in order to complete the puzzle. I know this from experience as well as from more patients that i know. one thing only is not the answer---however you are headed on the right track.

I have to agree with Dyan. There are many different causes for TMJ - from trauma to underdevloped bottom or lower jaw bones to clenching and grinding, malocclusion, and the list goes on. There is no one treatment either. It all depends on the individual. We were'nt all made from the same mold.

Hey
that is very true lisav. not one treatment is the fix. what works for one may not work for another. ive been doing this a long time so i know.
