What does it feel like when you get chin splints? I am active and when I jump or run for like 10 mins and my shins start to have little pains shooting through them.... It just started 2 weeks ago about.

Are these chin splints?

chin splints
Chin splints feel like a sharp knife pain on the inner and/or outer part of the chins. They can occur from just about any physical activity, but usually occur from running on hard surfaces, bad running/jumping form, and not having enough support in your shoes. I get them all the time and I run track & field and I have done a lot of research on chin splints due to this. One of the best ways to treat chins splints is RICE:
R- Rest
I- Ice
C- Compression
E- Elevation

Basically this means to stop doing the activity that is causing the pain, to wrap your chin(s) in an ACE bandage, ice your chin(s), and to keep your leg raised up so your chin is above your heart (i.g. lying on the couch with your foot rested up on a pillow) You may want to get your chin splints checked out if the pain continues. Chin splints are actually micro-fractures in the chin, and if you don't treat them properly you can eventually break the chin! Don't hesitate to get it checked out! && taking a hot bath also helps:P

hope i helped with the basics:)
