Q: Progress!

I sticked to my diet of brown rice meat and lettuce just one tsp each for an hour.

And guess what?

Just for a week with this diet, my body is starting to adjust.

Stan told me to see how far I can go and test it out, so I did and I was able to go 3 hours without food.

All the symptoms you will feel during the initial phase will go away and your body will slowly adapt.

When you start this diet you will feel a lot better than with your old diet of sugar and high gi foods.

I noticed I am not as anxious, I am also more upbeat. This diet rules!

Just dont give up!

Don't you give up either. If it happens that you come down again, please remember this is natural! I'm not trying to be a downer, but I know how it feels to feel awesome, but then dreadful the next thinking that you're doing something wrong. Stick with it, even if it goes down again. That's pretty quick progress though, I must say my diet is quite health forum.

Give it time. I suspect you may be eating too many carbohydrates regardless of what you think. To test, try this, add some olive oil to your meals, like a tablespoon or thereabouts. If this seems to relieve the fatigue and give you more energy, you're probably eating too many carbohydrates.

hello jenny,

yes and I add some small bit of carrots or raw yellow squash...I started out with spinach leaves during the first few days and then went to lettuce after. I also add olive oil and lemon. I think the lemon helps cause it has vitamin c, you need to include the whole vitamin group in there.
Lemon also slows down your digestion, which means it lows the gi of any food you eat just adding acid to it.

Sometimes I add a slice of almonds in it also. During the first few days I ate a lot of almonds also as snacks. And a bit of apple and orange when I was crashing.

I dont know if the adjustment depends on your diet before.

Cause my usual diet involved rice the high gi kind. So maybe my body was able to adjust quickly to this brown rice diet because I have been eating rice already?

Also you have to eat low gi foods, not just low carb foods. It has to be low gi. Low gi carb, thats basically what you need to take in small amounts with protein, fats and bit of veggies. And then relax, dont do anything, just sit around.

During the first few days I felt really bad, I had to eat like every 15 minutes to 30 minutes even. And I was really depressed bout it, but you will start to feel different, once you start to feel different and feel better.

You then test your limits. Basically you kinda training your body, because it only knows how to react to the diet you had before, now you have to train it to react to this new diet.

For me, my body would start to panic when the hour is near, but try to not do anything if you can and not panic. Its your body in withdrawal symptoms, when you test your limit just have someone near you, and has to be stress free.

Being relax helps! Have someone near you who will keep you positive and upbeat. This is the key! Because it keeps you relax and your body will relax and it will go through the symptoms easier. And it will adjust faster.

Dont think too many crazy thoughts.

Just think in your head. You will fight this and you will beat it. Keep saying it over and over. And then you will start to feel better. This is because you will release good positive energy into your body.

So remember it is not just the food. It also starts with your mind, to want to get better, and the environment and the people you are with.

Just stay positive!
