Like most people posting messages I am confused and frightened.

I should first state that I have not had sex for 5 months...
Three days ago my vagina was itchy. There were no symptoms like the red bumps I have been reading about. Then the day after I have these sores and they hurt.

I went straight to the doctor, and the first thing out of his mouth was that he thought it was herpes. He didn't even ask when I had last has sex...

I have had no other symptoms. He gave me herpes medication that doesn't appear to be helping, and I have to wait 5 days for the test results.

Does this sound like herpes?
