Okay so some of you don't know this but I smoke marijuana, someone on the internet called me a bad mom yesterday and I just wanted to get everyones views on it. I don't think it's all that bad, as I don't do it in front of him or even in the house for that matter, and it's not like i'm sh*tfaced (like allie) and am not able to care for him.

It's just a nice buzz really, one that I like. I don't smoke ciggs anymore, or do any type of other drugs but smoke weed everyday.

So who does it? Who doesnt?

Opinions please, call me a bad mom and i'll tie you to a tree and have big bubba rape you.

Fer real.

I dont see anything wrong with it as long as your not doing it everyday 24/7 , it never sat well on me always made me tired and health forum but both my parents did, my friends and their parents do as well I can actually say I know cops, judges etc who smoke!!

As long as it isnt substance abuse(by substance abuse I mean anything that interferes with daily living!!) I see nothing wrong with it, its like drinking once in awhile!!

"d" your a an awesome mom and dont listen to other ppl as long as your child is happy your not neglecting him and your happy who gives a caca!

F*ck everyone else..................Btw where the "d" I used to know who would have called her a c*ntface lol!!

I don't think there is anything wrong with it. I think alcohol is 10 times worse. I used to smoke every day but quit before I got preggo (mainly because it's impossible to find and our dealer went to jail, lol). If it was cheaper and easier to get i'd probably go back to smoking regularly after the baby is born, but I won't since it definitely won't be in our budget. But yeah, as long as you're not doing it around the baby, I see nothing wrong it.

Lmao sarah did u ask your doc how long itll take to leave your system? That alway bothered me cuz I know I can drink and just not feed him for 12 hourssih but what about smoking? Cant really ask your doc about an illegal drug. But yea I smoke when im not prego or breastfeeding. Not everydfay mainly cuz thatd be to expensive but whenever its available and most of the time it just mellows me out so I can still care for my babies I would never smoke around them or in the house

its ok d I still love ya

Eh. Whatever.

It's not something i'd ever do, but then I also grew up with a pothead father and stupidass pothead friends so I don't have great memories/experiences with it.

In the end, we all have things we do to relax and most of them are bad without moderation. Be it drinking, smoking pot, eating junk food in front of the tv or having sex. If it doesn't interfere with your parenting ability or normal life then it isn't a problem.

:p

I don't agree with it but I don't have any judges or opinions on other people doing it that don't directly affect my daughter. It was basically the major reason I broke up with my ex. Him and his family all smoke it regularily, and I don't like who they are at all. However I do know other people who smoke it and are great people. I don't think your a bad parent for doing it, that is your decision and if you and your family are okay with it then there isn't a problem.

Well I mean what I think is, yeah I smoke weed, so? I don't sit on my booty all day eating cheetos and not doing anything with myself, I still go to school & work everyday.

I like feeling high, but it really really bothers me some girl, who don't even know me comes off and says i'm a bad mother, when I know for a fact i'm not! Talking about brayden in anyway hits a soft spot of mine...I love him a lot and would never think about hurting him emotionally or physically =(

my mom knows I smoke, and I asked her if she thought I was a bad mother (that girl saying that really made me mad!) and she was like "oh dalicia god no!" and we started talking about all those children who get abused by their parents, for instance this one lady stuck her baby in the microwave, and we thought of how lucky bray was that he gets love and all the toys & clothes I buy him (mom too)

my mom said "if that girl is saying you're a bad mother by puffing on the green a bit, then she needs to get in check and realize there's way worse things than smoking weed!"

I would feel like a hypocrite if I told you that you shouldn't smoke weed, because I used to be a horrible pothead. But, it's really not good for you. I don't think it will affect you being a good mother, but it's just not good for you. I quit smoking about 2 years ago, maybe a little less, but I used to be high constantly. I wish I never would have started smoking, because the reality is that i'd probably be a lot further in life if I wouldn't have. I don't look down on people who smoke, I just think it's healthier not too. But, you are a great mother either way!

As long as what you do doesn't affect your child(ren), and doesn't come before them, then I see nothing wrong with it. If you're going to get high, do it after your child goes to sleep outside.

A girl I use to work with thought it was hilarious that she had "back-up" weed and no money in her wallet(and she had a 5 year old daughter)........ That's sad!!!

It doesn't affects bray's health and that's all i'm concerned about!

I think i'm making it pretty good in life at the moment, too.

I'm not saying you have a bad life at all. I am just saying I messed a lot of caca up in my life because I was a pothead. But then again, I smoked about 6 times a day everyday for 3 years straight. Bad decision, especially when you drink every weekend for about a year too. You should care about your health though.

weed is not addictive, weed doesnt f*ck you up like alcohol the only bad thing is does to ppl is make them temporarily stupid I know I asked the dr and had to do a study on it in highschool. Just because it messed up your life doesnt mean its gonna mess up "d"s or anyone elses for that matter I still smoke once in a blue moon but hey its a natural relaxant to me and helps me sleep.

Smoking weed 6 times a day isnt the smartest doing it thing to do their hun no wonder it messed up your life you abused it I donty think "d" is but everyday 1 time a day is substance abuse because it is taking over your priorities once every weekend or two is nothing as long as she aint lifting her kid for about an hour after the buzz!

Its the same as taking advil or painkillers etc everyday for pain that is substance abuse!!

I smoke a joint a day and i'm fine with picking up bray and etc, im not stoned out of my mind just in a feel good state.

I dont smoke the joint all at once either, I just puff on it through-out the day

Ok...Well I dont want to get involved in this little..Uhh..Fight that is occuring. However I do have my two cents to throw in.

1) smoking weed is addictive. No it is not physically addictive, but it can be mentally addictive. Trust me, being the child of a drug addict, I know lots about addiction. People dont consider it to be addictive because it isnt physically, and therefore people dont go through physical withdrawal when coming off of it. But it can be mentally addictive, as the addict seeks the specific relaxed mental state that goes along with smoking weed. Over time if you are a heavy smoker it takes more and more to achieve the same buzz, which goes along with addiction. In saying that however, not everyone who uses it becomes addicted.

2) before getting pregnant I smoked a bit every day as well..Mostly in the evening to calm my nerves and help me relax a bit. I dont think that smoking makes you a bad mother. As long as you realize that you do need to care for your son (which I know you do), and you would always put him first I dont see a problem. I might classify it as a problem if there was a situation you knew was going to occur that would require you being entirely coherent (an important doctors appointment or something)..And you disregarded that fact and smoked up anyway. As long as your smart about it and recognize that it can affect your child's life when he is older.

Just another insight perhaps. My mother was an addict of several different things through my early teen years. Now that shes clean of everything else she still smokes weed. The first time I ever smoked she got me high, and she encourages us to only smoke when we are at home or in another safe place. I think that by her being so open about it, it taught me and my siblings some responsibility and to know when appropriate times to smoke were.

Dalicia dont take this as me attacking you in any way cause im really not.

I'm not planning on sharing with bray that I smoke weed when he's older, and I might not even be smoking when he is old enough to understand.

It's just weed, i'm not snorting drugs, or shooting up. I'm smoking something that grows out of the ground, which comes from a seed. I'm not taking any drugs which include acids of anykind, or dangerous chemicals.

I have been doing weed for a really long time, and I know i'm not addicted to it, I don't have fits when I run out, and am not in any hurry to get more.

I know a lot about drugs too, my sister is a meth user and a pill popper, i'm nothing like her, never ever will be and would rather die than become someone like she is.

And yeah, diamondsz I think you went overboard with saying the things you did to samantha, you need to check yourself & read things properly before you make a fool out of yourself.

Sorry, but samantha is my girl. =|
