Gettin Rid of Face Cyst ?? Posted: 04-29-06 14:37pm
Hi & thanks for reading
right, I had a very small cyst in the
centre of my forehead, one summer it
flarred up and grew to an embarresing
size, I was given antibiotics and within a
few weeks it had shrunk but ended up being
much larger than it was originaly!
I have become very self conciouse of it
which in turn has killed my confidence.
I spoke with my local gp about getting
this lump removed, he refered me to a
surgeon who told me it was still too small
to be operated on and I would be left with
a much more noticable scar if they did.
I have been to get a second opinion with a
different surgeon and went to see a
plastic surgeon, they both said the same
as the first.
I was hoping someone could put me in the
direction of someone that deals with such
problems, as I find it hard to believe
that nothing can be done about it
and being a cyst which I understand is
just a deep spot could they not just
puncture it with a syringe and drain off
whatever is inside ??

Definitely try applying tea tree oil as it
dissolved the skin of a cyst I had and the
contents were released without any
pressure

How big exactly is it ?
Ive had a huge one on my temple once. Had
it cut out, and of course there is some
scarring but it was gone in a instant !!
And the scarring now has pretty much
disappeared !
Id see another doctor and ask him for a
second opinion as the scarring is minimal
!

I don't know if anyone is paying attention
to this thread anymore, but I found it on
google by searching for "face cyst
months." I had an acne caused cyst (self
diagnosed, based on internet research)
that has been bothering me for months. I
get them once every year or so, but this
one was the worst I have ever had. It
was a huge pimple for a few weeks and I
finally popped the damn thing. The
nugget was huge. But I still had a
swollen, tender area for months. I
treated it with acne creams to no avail.
Then I bought something called mederma
(it's a scar cream that I bought at cvs).
It has done wonders in a matter of days.
The bump is not gone yet, but it is
substantially smaller, and I think it may
be going away for good. I hope it
disappears for good, and I hope this post
helps people in a similar situation.

starter, I woke up 1 day during peak
alergy season to a swollen right eye. I
left it alone and it eventually drained
out but still left some slight selling
under my eye. It looks like a lump and
also gives the apperance of darkness under
my right eye, iv seen 1 derm who told me
it wasnt a cyst just some "extra fat
tissue" whatever that means, but my 2nd
and 3rd opinion both told me that it would
leave a bigger scar then the area of the
cyst and I would also have to pay out of
pocket because it is cosmetic.

i will give the tea tree oil a try
though
the body shop sells a green glycerin soap
that does wonders! Combined with the tea
tree oil refreshener in 1-2 weeks you'll
notice a huge difference. I sure did.
