Started running, a hard lump has formed on the lateral side of left knee. The pain is isolated to that area, however if apply pressure to the lump, referral pain down calf. Itb and adductors are tight. Swelling around the lump. Went to the doctor and was told possibly bursitsis(?), I disagree. She recommended an x-ray, aren't they realted to bone????
