Q: Sleeping Less And Less

Since about 3 months i've been sleeping less and less. I usually slept about 7,5 hours, about 3 months ago I slept 6 hrs and now I sleep on average 5 hours, sometimes only 3. I easily fall asleep, but I get up in the morning and then can't fall back asleep. I tried some breathing exercises, but to no avail. I don't drink coffee and eat healthily, but the situation seems to be getting worse. I can't concentrate and feel tired throughout the day. Is there any way to stop this, because i'm afraid that if it progresses soon I won't be sleeping at all?

Extremely eHealthy
Have you talked to the dr about this and possibly doing a sleep study done? Are you an anxious type of person? Could their be something that is bothering you now or something in the past? Talk to your dr he might reccommend a sleep aid to help out. I know that I do not sleep well but my problem is due from pain.
Good luck to you!

Hallo,

well I have not been sleeping well since 1998.... Lol... And I am still trying to solve the problem. A check with my doc helped, got on some drugs and got to sleep better. But I am still feeling sooo tired during the day, I think its due to stress.

You condition may be caused by stress or sleep apnea as highlighted by sally.

Cheers

I used to have a problem where I would get really tired at like 8pm but would wake up every day at 3am

here's how I cured myself:

no caffeine/drugs
once I got up at 3am, I would keep the room as dark as possible
i would wait one hour and then take 3mg melatonin on an empty stomach

then I would try to keep the room as dark as possible for the rest of the morning
in the late afternoon (4-6pm), I would try and go out into the sunlight

every day I did this, I would wake up one hour later than the night before
after about a week, I was waking up at 8am. Yay.

Hope it works for you

You may have a magnesium defieciency. Look up different types of magnesium, but I have tried ionic fizz magnesium plus and it works great. You can get it at any healthfood store. And no I am not affiliated or selling it or anything I just get really passionate about natural products that work for me!
