Hello...My mum is having a small operation tomorrow and will be put under anaesthetic (i'm petrified of her going under as I am a huge worrier and iv'e got it into my head that she will die-i no thats bad of me but I just love her so much)she is my carer as well and she is my best friend and my world. She is having a polyp removed from her womb and at the same time she will have an ius (mirena intrauterine system)put in which is to lighten her very heavy periods that she has had all her life(my mum is 49)every one tells me she will be fine and that the operation wont take no longer than 30mins but i'm so so so very frightened...Please can any one help me and tell me how long the operation will last and if there should be anything to worry about.Other than the polyp she has collitus, but apart from that she's usualy fit and healthy and has gone under anaesthetic befor when she was about 24 and that was to remove a tiny lump from under her arm which wasn't anything bad. Please do help me and write back...Thank you very much...Jadexxx
