Hi,

i was wondering if anyone can figure out what this pain is from...

14 days ago:
pain in front lower abdomen after eating lunch, stabbing and cramping

13 days ago:
subsides after 1 day

green diarrhea (watery) for 3 days

10 days ago:
normal, brown stools, but very loose
frequent bathroom trips (4-5/days)
pain in lower right back
pain in middle right abdomen (internally)
pain in right side

present:
normal, brown loose stools
bathroom 3 or so times/day
pain in lower right back
internal pain in middle abdoment

had ultrasound and cat scan...

Ultrasound showed polyps in the gallbladder (which I already knew about, had one done year or two ago)

cat scan was normal

bilirubin level was elevated

no vomiting or fever

er doctor didn't know what was causing the pain
gastroenteralogist thought it was probably the gallbladder, but gave 5 days of antibiotics (ampicillin - they didn't do anything).

Diet doesn't seem to have much affect on it.

There did not seem to be any alarm about finding small polyps either.

Its been about 2-3 weeks since this pain started and it hasn't let up. Any idea what is going on? It says gallbladder attacks last only a few hours or afew days - could it really be the gallbladder doign this for weeks?

The ultrasound/cat didn't seem to find anything that would suggest a big problem.
