I've been a member on here for some time, mostly reading. So this is the 1st time for me to write.I'm married, for almost 8 years now. It's been tough at times. I've tried suicide twice. Got some help. Was put on meds for awhile but it didn't help.
I get angry very easy at wife and kids( we have 3, 1 is step son). I stopped smoking 4 months ago. Not that it is a cause but just to let you know. Work is very stressful. I drive a semi in chicago most of the time.
I'll tell more if it helps but long story short I just want to fell better, not worry so much. It's affecting my marrage, and sex life. Please help

Hello
My name is maggie and when I was about 14 I tried to commit suicide. I am 28 now but sometimes when life gets me down I always think about it.
Recently when I do feel down I try to think of the more positive things in my life I also try to forget about why I am depressed. I can get depresed because my husband who works long hours doesn't want to be intimate with me. I feel down when my children are naughty. I have found that my depression is lessened when I think positivly and I stop worring so much.
If you still feel depressed you really need to get yourself seen by a doctor, they can sometimes be of help.
I hope you feel better soon.

Maggie

Well...
First you need to try to find someone you can talk to and fully be yourself. An isolated person sinks into the illusion of separateness and becomes a diseased organism. If you can alleviate the feeling that you're alone, that's a big step.

Secondly, exercise every day. This may seem like simpleton advice, but in my opinion all the blood pressure medication that people are prescribed isn't needed if people would just get into the habit of brisk walk.

Cbt therapy is good for anxiety. Therapy in general can help. But if you really wanted to die, you would have killed yourself. You want to live, but you are desperately yearning for someone to understand you and care for you. I've been there, most people have.

Keep on going! Things can get better! God bless.
