Out of Options! Miserable! Need Help Asap!!!!

I've got a huge problem, and it's sort of a restatement from before.

I was on yasmin for 7-8 months and decided my body just couldn't handle the hormone and went off it last wednesday (april 19th) I got my period on monday (april 24) and I started ortho tri-cyclen lo also on that monday. I

i experienced some pain today and had to leave my class early, and on the way walking home I had tears in my eyes for no reason. My boyfriend called maybe 10 minutes later, and I started bawling my eyes out for 20 minutes. I had also started to feel paranoia and could not get the thought that my boyfriend was cheating on me out of my mind (which is highly highly unlikely based on what I know about him and his paranoia for stds and pregnancy).
I decided that these were the warning signs that I could not handle these hormones either, and stopped taking the ortho (april 26).

My boyfriend is very frustrated; it appears I can't handle hormones from the pill; I can't have an iud because I am allergic to metal; the patch i've been informed against because of blood clots, and i'm unable to keep a nuvaring inside me. I am out of options.

I had suggested me getting a diaphragm and spermicide, but he is uncomfortable with the idea, and told me he would not sleep with me if I am not on the pill.

What can I do? I've now not only thrown off my cycle again (which by the way, my period stopped tonight after only having it three days), I am absolutely miserable because I feel like such a hinderance on both our sex lives. I'm unable to perform oral (chronic cold sores, type 1) and now we can't have sex because of the paranoia of not wanting to just use a condom (which he won't).

Has anyone had this problem? Advice?

I'm tired of crying over what my body can and cannot handle.

You could get a mirena iud.... It is plastic does have hormones, but they are localized in the uterus, and such a small amount that it doesn't upset most women.. I used one for awhile , and I cannot tolerate any hormones either...It is called mirena... The first 3-6 months you can expect strange bleeding patterns, but after that most women are fine...

It is the most effective form of birth cotnrol around..

I am allergic to fake jewelry, but I can tolerate an iud just fine..It is pure copper, unlike jewelry, and is well tolerated in women unless you have wilsons disease... Which is testable... Fake jewelry has a lot of impurities in them, and the copper iud doesn't..It is surgical grade..

i also don't want an iud because of the things i've heard about causing endometrial problems. My mother had endometriosis and had a hysterectomy because her organs were stuck together in one big complicated mass. I'm afraid of the genetics of that ontop of the iud causing an infection. I want children and have not had any yet.

If you cannot take hormones or use iuds, your only other option is barrier methods. Cervical cap, diaphram, sponge (do they make these anymore?), condoms, etc. Used with spermicide these are very effective measures against pregnancy.

Good luck with your boyfriend.

i suggest the idea of a diaphragm to my boyfriend and he freaked out; I also mentioned that a condom and spermicide together are about 100% effective if used properly and it still did not convince him. He is very very paranoid; he pulls out before he cums every single time even with a condom on. It sounds very negative, but he said that he would not sleep with me unless I was on the pill. He felt that I was overreacting and that the affects of the pill was all in my head, which it was not because i'm aware of how my body should feel, and how it did feel was not correct. I want to be fitted for a diaphragm, but a diaphragm is not to be used with a condom and that freaks him out even more.

I am fine with spermicide and a condom, but I think he is most worried about the condom breaking.

I'm really out of options.

Ontop of that I can't perform oral on him, so I feel like a very huge hinderence to our sex life. It's just not fun anymore worrying all the time; him being angry and me feeling like i'm going to just cry.

Endometriosis is not caused by iuds at all, and doesn't cause endometrium problems... Infections are uncommon and only happen of you get a nasty untreated std, which would cause pid.Pelvic inflammatory disease....

Endometriosis is soemthing you have all your life, it isn't caused by a specific even, if you had it now you would most certainly know it for sure..

You may be also surprised to hear doctors use mirena iud for endometriosis, because it lessens period blood loss.

Hi there! Why not talk to your dr about the .Mirena iud and endometriosis, it never hurts to talk or talk to the nurse or what does your dr reccommend in your situation besides not having sex.
The best to you both!
