About 6 days ago I went to the er with chest pain on my left side, I was having trouble breathing, my hands were going numb, I felt as if I was going to faint, and was dizzy.
I was sent home, and told I had a panic attack.
Problem is i'm still having chest pain and trouble breathing... The tightness in my chest has waken me up from my sleep. I now have to wait to weeks to see a cardiologist. Does anyone out there know what's wrong with me. :?: rox

oh, I forgot to note, i'm 32 moderately active, and have a heart murmur.

Possible Answer
Hi Roxcarr,
It probably is anxiety. I am 26 and have had panic attacks off and on for ten years. When you have one, if feels like you can't breath, hands tingle, heart races, everything seems abnormal. This can also carry on for a long period of time. If you are having anxiety and your not taking anything for it or trying to control it, it's hard to get it to stop. Until I was put on meds, I felt that way off and on for two weeks. Waking up in the middle of the night and everything. You will be fine. Just have to tell yourself it's panic.
