Q: Thin Basement Membrane/ Alport's Variant

I was thought to have iga nephropathy by more than one doctor. My biopsy however showed features of thin basement membrane. Due to my family history, it's also suspected I could have a variant of alport's.

I'm a mom of 2 girls, both are scheduled this friday to see if they inherited the disease.

I'm looking for others to connect with that have been diagnosed with either tbmd or alports, as I don't know much about either of these.

Kidney function is stable. I see my nephrologist every 6 months. Daily meds include high blood pressure, hyperlipidemia and proteinuria. How about you?
