I am the same as you,but what sometimes makes it less head caving is..Try this.. Every day,try and get in to a routine,find something that you like if you can,that releaves the stress a bit,something that you like,then just do the same thing every day,watch the same programme on the tv,play the same game on the computer,go to the same website,anything !! Sometimes it just relexes your mind phsycologically,you feel familiar,and its reassuring..
I get the feeling of doom every day but I try and get into something,it makes you forget,well,for a while at least...
