Hi, I am 21 years old, I am 5'10 200lbs, im not skinny but I am not obese, but anyway after I did my mile run last week, I had gotten this very sharp pain in my back. At first it was no problem, than I felt it getting worse. I can't walk fast, nor straight or how I used to. I can sit down, but it hurts when I twist, the pain is in my lower left back, it hurts all the way down my leg. I've used bengay, took those downhalls (sp) back pills, those didn't work. Took tylenol and everything it's been 5 days, its not as stiff but never the less it still hurts. Not sure what else to say.

I've included a diagram of where it hurts, the grey circle is where the pain is.

Hi xtac ~

first off your diagram didn't show up with that link you posted. It sound to me like you have a bulging lumbar disc which is pinching you sciatic nerve. It would be a good idea for you to go see your doctor about this and he/she may order a mri of your lumbar spine. Should your doctor what you to see a specialist please ask to see a neurosurgeon. I say this because of the nerve involvement. What other symptoms do you have besides the pain?

Thanks
Thanks for the reply, well today was a much better day I was able to go out and walk around, pain is almost gone, but there is still a sudden pain and stiffness in the lower left side of my back, along with a little stiffness in the left leg down to the knee. However it is much better. I have no other problems right now. I will update you in 2 days to see if anything has changed.
