Is two days before day 14 too soon to test with an early hpt?

Two days ago I did a first response hpt. One of those early ones. Later this morning is my blood test. Is day twelve accurate enough to go by? I've heard stories of people not getting a positive until their blood test. Any thoughts, should I take the negative as a definite?

I wouldn't take it as a definite. Blood tests can detect smaller amounts of hcg than hpt. Your hcg might still be too low for a hpt to detect.
