Hair Plucking
Posted: 01-07-04 14:18pm

My sister wants to know if plucking her eye brows (facial hair) will make it worse in the long run. She plucks her facial hair but isn't sure if it will grow back thicker or darker. She also said that she thinks that the hair is growing back quicker as a result of plucking it. Help. Is there a better substitute other than electrolysis.

Is she plucking eyebrows or facial hair?? There is a big difference.

If she has thick facial hair she may be producing too much testosterone(male hormone) but if it's just eyebrows then no-one i've ever even heard of has had a problem with that growing back thicker (she may just notice it more because it's been plucked?) although as we are all unique, hers may grow back thicker.

I use my fingers to pluck lose eyebow & eyelash hair (they come lose mainly around period time) & that's never caused me any problem.

I've been plucking my facial hair and eye brows for years...And they actually appear to be lighter.
