As far as I know...Smoking cigarettes has nothing to do with infertility...However, smoking other things can.

Hello Ladies How Are Everyone Today?
I also smoke and am trying to quit but it is hard,i did quit for a year but then my mom passed away and I started back.I know alot of people that smoke and have gotten preg.My mom did and have 5 healthy babies and my neices also smoked and have healthy children.I was told it dries up the cervical mucous and lowers a mans sperm count but then again I know a lot of daddy,s that smoke. So I dunno. It can lower a babies birthweight though.Theres so many things a women has to prevent. When I had my son 22 yrs ago I never knew of all the things I do now since I had my tubes reversed and was on clomid and iui,s my mom was floored from all I had told her I had to do.But times have changed .Mare

I've been a smoker for the past 16 yrs. Since I tried to have a baby, I cut down on smoking. I think smoking is not directly related to infertility. However, I recall I read some articles on smoking, alcohol & caffine effecting conception. Those "bad habits" are said to have bad influences to women trying to conceive. I wont agrue that. Pls, ladies, I know it's very difficult to give up smoking (or the others), do cut down the intake. Good lucky to u all Smile

I don't think it matters what you smoke its not going to affect your chances. If you are trying for a family why don't you give up for their sake.Asthma in children is getting more common. No judgement meant by the way.
