Sry I got an epidural but my aunt gave birth twice naturally so it is possible. Shes a very mellow yoga doing buddha loving person tho so shes got that natural relaxer. I think pain meds are get so whats your reason for not wanting them? I can at least relate to the nervousness of giving birth when I finally went into labor I couldnt believe it! You just have to tell yourself in a few hours ill be holding a baby and it will all be over. Thats how I ge through everything like the iv stick I just count and say in 20 secs it will all be over etc.

My mother-in-law was talking about giving birth to my husband. My husband was 10.5 lbs and 24 inches long. He was 4 weeks past due. She delivered him with no meds. At the same time she ripped all the way thru to her anus. Ack just thinking about it hurts me. She was also sewn up without meds as well....But she put it like this, he was coming out weather she liked it or not. And once he started coming she didn't think about the pain she just thought about holding her little guy. She was in labor for 4 hours.

She is a strong lady, one of the strongest that I know. But my mom at 50 had meds with my little sister. But then again she was in labor for like 24 hours. I guess it depends on the person.

Good luck to you.

I had my son without any pain meds. It isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. And I have to say I was only 16 when I gave birth. And I wasn't in labor for but maybe six hours and pushed maybe thirty minutes. As someone else asked you, what is your reason for not wanting any pain medicine?

4 weeks past due?

Kinda weird that her doctor let her even go that far...My doc said if I didnt have my son 2 weeks after his due date then they are gonna induce because it's not safe to leave him in there any longer.

My husband is 26 now so I am not really sure what they did back then about overdue babies. But 4 weeks is what she said.

Im getting the epidural... I have a high tolerance for pain to but im not crazy..Lol. My aunt had her first 3 natural and then her last was with an epidural and she said if she could do it all over again she would have had the epidural for all of them. Im 34 weeks and 5 days away from my due date and im not really scared about the pain I just dont like not knowing the exact time and day and all that everything is going to happen. I hate surprises...Lol but I have practiced the bradley method in my birthing class and I have looked into doing it all natural but naw i'd rather taking as much as I can and then getting the epi at least I can say I took it as far as I could natural and then got the drugs.. !!!

well they say that sometimes it can paralyze you so imnot to found of that I rather go threw the pain then be paralized for the rest of my life. And because I have this thing that I like to prove to myself how strong I can really be. Just like when im menstrating it can be the worse but ill never touch a pill. And ill run around and do work keep busy even if it does hurt like hell. Im a strong person I just like to know how strong.

I went with no pains with my daughter and with my son I got gravol(cause I kept feeling like puking) and a small does of morpheine im totally against epidural and the pain isnt that bad or people wouldnt be having kids. In a way I love pain (im into sports etc) and have a high tolerance but even then not everyon can do it. Try it and be honest to yourself if you cant deal with it dont feel ashamed to ask for pain meds that is what they're there for

I had an epidural. Sorry - can't help you there. All I can say is good luck! Don't be scared - you have carried and nurtured this baby, and you deserve to meet her!!! Just think about it that way.

I know it is easy for me to say not to be scared, because I was extremely scared when I had my daughter. Just be calm, and don't let your scaredness/nervousness interfere with your pregnancy/the birth of your little girl!!! Hang in there!!
