Q: 2 Periods In 1 Month - menopause ?

I am a healthy 46 year old, who has had her periods every 30 days for the past 30 years. Two weeks ago I completed my period, which actually dragged on and spotted for an additional 3-4 days. Then yesterday, (on my 46th birthday!) my period came back with a vengence! 2x in 1 month? Is this perimenopausal? Menopausal? What could be causing this.

Help! :(

This is your hormones probably perimenopause, the time before menopause since menopause is the cessation of your periods. You should go to the doctor and let them check you out if you haven't had a pap smear in awhile, this would be a good time. There may be other factors going on, fibroids, etc. Making a diagnosis on the internet isn't always a wise idea ;)

good luck! And I hope your period eases up soon!
