Q: Bc After Birth...

Okay, here's a general idea of what's going on...

I'm 3 months pregnant and plan to give the baby up for adoption (to people I know). I want to pupmp my milk after because it'll supposedly help me lose the weight quicker. I want to get on birth control (bc) as soon as I can afterwards... But here's my question...

If I get on regular birth control (i.E. The pill), which I assume I could because I am not giving a baby my milk, would I stop producing milk?

I shouldn't stop producing?

Okay, that's good.

I personally feel, even if it didn't help me lose the weight I gain faster, that pumping would be better just because to me it sounds healthier... It's a bad comparison, but cows get sick if they're not milked and are better off if we milk them, so i'm sure people are healthier if they get it out of their system (like intended by breastfeeding).

Thanks. I will ask the doctor next time i'm in.

Personal;ly my advice if you want to loose weight fast dont breatfeed because you will keep producing forever if always pump milk. My advice is take something to increase your metabolism cut down on strachy food (rice, potatoes, pasta, bread etc cause they turn into sugars) dont exercise till after your 6 week pospartum appt with drs okay(like pushups/situps/cardio) it can burn you out and alos cause hemoragging. So heres a list of things before 6 weeks and healthy weight loss is 8-10 lbs per month

power walk(jog slowly for 5 mins and the walk 5min then jog for 5 mins etc)
eat full balanced meals take vitamins
take something to increase you metabolism!!
Etc

Okay, good to know.

Thanks everyone.

I would like to say, technically I wouldn't be breastfeeding 'cause it's not going to a child, so please refer to it as pumping to eliminate confusion. :d
