If my little niece has chicken pox and her family can be carriers then if my husband is with in 5feet of one of them then does that make him a carrier? I need to know and can my unborn child get chicken pox if I have already had them? :?

I'm not to sure about your man being a carrier. From what I do know, even if you have had the chicken pox, and your baby is exposed later in life (at like 2 or 3) he/she will more than likely get them. But i'm not sure if they have a vaccine against the chicken pox nowadays.

I do know that it's better to get the chicken pox earlier in life than later. I think they can be fatal if you contract them later on in life....

Hope this kinda helps...I'm not to sure about it though!!

Good .Luck!!

If you had chicken pox already dont worry too much but do try and avoid them and make sure you had your shot for german measles and that your immune to them if not then avoid anyone whos been around chicken pox. Usually once you have had chicken pox your fine their is another form that you can get from it its called "shingle" but the person would pyshically have to have it for you to get it and that is dangerous to the fetus!!
