Look, there's no reason for you to hate yourself over that. Here, in my country, it's a pretty common illness, so i'm always hearing doctors talking about it.
Their firts advice it to eat more milk-based products, which have calcium, and also things with vitamin d (calcium needs vitamin d to be absorbed) - tuna, cod fish, saumon, oysters, some cereals, milk-based products (cheese, butter, margarine, enriched milk, etc). To make vitamin d work, you have to catch sun, because it helps it fix your bones.
