After breaking up with my boyfriend I found out that he was very promiscious, so I went to see my gp to get the appropriate tests done. It was at this time I discovered that I had genital warts. My question is having had a history of common warts on my hands as a child is it possible for them to have transfered to my genital area? Are common, flat and genital warts the same thing?

I do know that common warts on your hands/feet cannot spread to the genital area and vice versa. They are a completely different form and somehow cannot be transferred. I don't, however, know the difference between common and flat warts. I'm guessing those are two similar names for regular warts?? ~a
