After Mohs Surgery Posted: 04-21-06 10:25am
New member...... I have had several skin
cancers in the past (basil and squamous
(spelling?)...They have always been taken
care of with nitrogen or excising.
I had mohs' surgery on my nose last
tuesday and it required a skin graft. The
donor spot is nothing more than if you had
suffered a cut and had to have stitches.
However, the graft location is a little
confusing. I have searched the net
looking for info. Should it be reddish
and have a little blood on the surface
when changing the bandage?
The first day and half the spot looked
very light colored. Then it turned
reddish. I am using polysporin and
proxide to clean and lubricate the spot.
Each day when I clean it with the proxide
I notice that it is quite red and some
spotting appears on the q-tip.
