Q: Horrible Day....

Last night at like 8, my pitt started to vomit. We thought she simply had eaten too fast and then laid down and she had refluxed it. Well last night, again, at about 10 she started vomiting again. We thought for sure it was over. Well at midnight, she started again. Then again at 2, 4, 6, &8 .A.M. I got a combined total of 2 hours of sleep. My .Fiance has to be awake for 4:45 .A.M to be at work for 5:30. So basically he got up once and dealt with the vomit, but I was left with the duty for the rest of the night. It wouldn't have been soo bad if it weren't for the smell.
My bulldog was freaking out because the pitt would just open her eyes and vomit...She wouldn't gag or anything. Finally I couldn't take it anymore so I went and chained them both up outside. It was 3 :30 when I did that so at 4:30 they were off. From 8 this morning till about and hour ago she was fine. Now she's vomiting again.
I know she's dehydrated but we cannot allow her to eat or drink anything. She's been sneaking water today and that's why she's getting sick again. I gave her a teaspoon on .Pepto .Bismol (recommended by the vet) and she was fine until just now.

I'm sooo sorry for this really long post, I am just worn out and tired of washing everything she's vomited on!!! It's a grim peak at what lies ahead for me being so claose to delivering my 1st child. Hopefully my baby won't have reflux and start vomiting like my pup!! I think i'd have an emotional breakdown!! Lol...Naah I just need some sleep!!

Aww,i'm sorry. My pitt does this thing sometimes where she makes this hawking sound like she's hollow and then really hacks something up and it's usually yellow, ans I don't know why she does it/she wont let me near her while she's doing it either, she runs under my bed.I took her to the vet and they gave me some meds but she still did it after they were all gone but only every once in a while.I dunno what it is

The vet told me she could consume nothing but ice cubes. The last thing I want is for her to vomit all over the place again. :?

I thought her vomit would eventually turn yellow because I know that's bile and it would end soon. Nothing. It always looks like pureed dog food and saliva. Seriously, it's disgusting!! Lol...

I'm kinda glad it's not bile because I know how friggen nasty that is. I think she may have eaten a frog or lizard last night or yesterday. She's sleeping now, poor baby, cuz I know she feels horrible.

I yelled at her today really loud because she got on my bed and wouldn't come off. No sooner did I stop yelling did she hurl all over my bed.
Normally, she's a very obidient dog and listens very well, not when she's sick!! Lol...

Normally, if me and my .Fiance get into an argument as soon as our voices start getting loud she runs under the bed and won't come out unless the bulldog goes gets her!

I am so sorry about your pup hun, I know how irritating that can be. Our min pin whenever she gets scared goes on our bed and pukes. It's really weird. I don't know why that is. Now if shawn and I are arguing she runs under the bed and we have to move the bed to get her out.

I am sorry you just can't rest today.

Baby magic, I am soo sorry to hear about your pitt (your babby). Sandra lynn might be right, has she been tested for parvo? Do you have any enemies around that might have tried to poison her, what aabout the bird flue, how is her color of her eyes and tongue? I am no vet but it soundss like she night need on an .I.V. And this can be done at home. I certainly hopes she gets better! I have .Irish wolfhounds and I know that sometines their tummies get twistedand it generally takes surgery. I do hope you get some answers soon!
The best to you all and your pup!

Bad day... Join the club, sweetheart.

Sorry about your puppy, though. I don't want to get too gross with this, but does the vomit sort of smell like poo? My dog ate poo (like lots of dogs do) once and then vomited it up for a couple of days. If that is the case, he should be checked for heartworms unless you have him on preventive medicine.

She's not really a pup anymore..Lol..So that sort of rules the parvo out. None of our neighbors would do that...They're all old people!! Lol...

My mom looked up a bunch of stuff on the internet and came across something that caught my attention. She's been having really bad ear infections lately. She only seems to vomit when she get up from sleeping. Her equilibrium is prob. Throwed. But we're not ruling out the fact that she could've eaten a frog or lizard.

Her vomit smells like her dog food even though it's been about 20 hours since she's eaten. What we're doing is giving her digestive system a break, and if she doesn't vomit for at least 6 hours, we'll start letting her have water.

Thank yall sooo much for yalls opinions!!! It helps a lot!!!
