Pill Or Pregnant?
Posted: 04-20-06 12:07pm

I have a regular 28 day cycle because I am on the pill (estrostep). I was due to have my period the week of 3/26-4/1. I had sex on 3/19 while on the pill, but I took the pill late by a hour or two for the next two days. When I was supposed to have my period I had a day of what looked like a normal period (red blood), but followed by a 4 days of spotting (brown discharge). I also spotted during the week of 4/10. Could this be implantation bleeding? Or is this a side effect of the pill? Ive been on the pill for 6 months now, and this has never happened before.

It is most likely that taking the pills out of sync has your body slightly out of sync as well, however I would play it safe and take a test. You can pick one up at the dollar store for a buck, or at wal-mart for about three. Hope things turn out well and good luck.

It could just be the pill, but I agree with the above post about taking a pregnancy test. That way, you can know for sure and put your mind at ease if it is just the pill.
