I Can't Think of a Middle Name Posted: 04-20-06 07:16am
Hi all,
i am 36 weeks pregnant and don't yet know
the gender of my baby, I thought id save
that as a surprise for the big day just as
nature intended. I have picked out a
first and middle name for my baby if it is
a boy but I am finding it increasingly
difficult to choose a middle name for a
girl and stick to it. If my baby is a
girl she will be called maisie but there
are so many gorgeous girls names out there
that im completely spoiled for choice when
it comes to a middle name. What names do
you think would sound good with maisie?
Hopefully one of you will help me come up
with something that I can stick to without
changing my mind.
Many thanks
emma

Is that maisie rhymes with daisy? I love
the name gabriella or if you prefer
gabrielle - nickname will be gabby esp if
they're a talker.
How about natalie/natalia? It all depends
on if you want something traditional or
ethnic sounding or even something totally
unique. But i'll tell you one
thing.....Your child will ask you, why, oh
why did you name me that? When that
happens it's really cool to have a
story....A best friend, a movie star, a
beloved relative etc. :)

Natalia was actually one of the names that
I thought of myself too. Hmmm maybe I
should stick with that one.
Thanks for your help everyone.

maisie *is* a nickname, it would be weird
as a given name. It would be like naming
your kid "chuckie" while forgetting that
it's a nickname for charles.
"maisie the mouse" was a popular nick jr.
Cartoon a few years back, i'm not sure if
it is still on.
