Q: Fibroids And Cysts?

I am 47 years old and have three children. The past while I have been having a wee bit of spotting during mid cycle once in the blue moon. I went to the docs and had a full check up including a pap, uterine bio and ultra sound, urine test, and blood work. I have had a pap test every year since I was 19.

The pap and uterine bio came back normal however the doctor told me that I have a very small cyst and very small fibroid. Can this turn into cancer and is this something that needs to be taken care of? How common are these two things to get?

Thank you.
