Pe Question
Posted: 04-19-06 10:25am

I've always had a bit of a problem with pre-mature ejaculation. It isn't a major problem though, because I don't lose my erection afterwards. However, last year, I was put on effexor xr for depression. I didn't experience the adverse sexual side effects that tend to go along with that drug. Actually, it was quite the opposite. I had a ton of drive. Well, in january I decided that I needed to come off of that drug (for a multitude of reasons). I am currently taking no anti-depression medication (or any medication at all). Since coming off the the drug, it seems that the pe is worse than ever. It takes almost nothing at all for me to fire off my first ejaculation. It's become frustrating for me and i'm wondering if there are any real options out there? I've read about the supplements (deferol and endurmax) but there are mixed reviews and i'm not sure I trust those things anyway. Besides getting back on an ssri, which from what I read serotonin levels definitely have an effect on pe, is there any other option?

Thanks ahead of time!

Try taking 5-htp for a month it should help increase your serontonin levels. If this is indeed your problem you should start lasting longer and longer as you take it.
