Q: Chances On Ortho-tricyclein

My girlfriend takes ortho-tricyclin and that is the only form of birth control we use. My question is, how much of a guarantee is that last week (up until the 7th day) during the placebo/period week. We had sex on the 7th day of her period week and I was wondering if that is at higher risk (no condom and did not pull out). Is the pill that precise with scheduling?

Your girlsfriend is perfectly protected during her placebo week!

As long as she takes her next pack on the 7th day like she is supposed to all is well..

But since you seem like a proactive young man, and you want to know things.. I have some advice for you...

Have "the talk" about what to do if she gets pregnant on birth control(highly highly unlikely) ..Will she have an abortion? Will she keep it, adoption? You will feel better, and you will probably feel more at ease if you just know what happen "if" pregnancy happens.

But still, it is hihgly unlikely, and she is well protected on birth control.

As long as your girlfriend takes her pill at the same time everyday, then she is well protected.

Thank you for your reply. I think I am going to sit down and have a talk with her. Another little question... Does she need to start the next one on the 7th day or start the new pack the next day? Thanks again.

She starts the new pack the next day. She should only take one pill every day, and this is true for the placebo week as well. She should always start the new pack on the same day of the week.
