I am 21 years old and have never been on
the pill......(i have my reasons)...Ever
since I started my period when I was 13 it
has been totally irregular...Every month
seems like a new adventure and I never
know what will happen except for the
horrible cramps where I cannot even walk.
I am sexually active and almost always use
protection, but sometimes accidents
happen, but I have not gotten
pregnant....Is this because I just keep
getting 'lucky' or because there is a
chance I cant get pregnant??

You are probably not infertile. To
declare yourself infertile you would have
to have regular babymaking sex (no
contraception) for 1 year.
It is not so easy to get pregnant. The
window of fertility for women is only open
a couple of days per cycle and irregular
cycles make this window even smaller.
My mother in law was always irregular and
she had 8 kids.
My wife has always been irregular and now
we have 3 children so far.
We went through some infertility problem
in 2003 and my wife's irregularity was not
